Check Mineral County VINELink Status

A Mineral County VINELink inmate check now runs through Nevada SAVE, the state's custody search and alert system. SAVE helps you locate one named person in Nevada custody or under supervision. It can send alerts after an arrest, a release, or a transfer. The old VINELink steps no longer apply for Nevada. Anyone registered there before must sign up fresh. Keep expectations in check. SAVE is not an official arrest record, updates can lag, and some jails go offline. For urgent Mineral County custody questions, call the jail or the law enforcement agency involved. An automated alert is never the whole safety plan.

Mineral VINELink Moved to SAVE

Mineral County once sat inside Nevada's VINE network, which shared custody information by phone and web. That changed in August 2025. According to the Nevada Attorney General transition notice, VINE registration shut off on August 28, and search plus notifications stopped the next day. Old users had to register again.

Today the working tool is the Nevada SAVE portal, built for custody status and notifications. It will not hand you a full Mineral County arrest log, a certified booking sheet, or a booking photo, and it settles nothing in court. People still type VINELink out of habit. The destination, though, must be SAVE.

Transition warning: do not attempt new Nevada alert registration through legacy VINELink. Use SAVE and create a new registration where needed.

Mineral SAVE Custody Result Fields

Official material lists search identifiers and custody or supervision status. No result carries a fixed field set. Treat a record as a status lead, then verify with the custodian.

ItemHow to use it
Full or partial nameStarts the search but may produce multiple people
State or county IDHelps distinguish a known person from a namesake
Custody or supervision statusShows the periodically updated state-system status
Facility or agency informationCan indicate where to seek direct confirmation
Notification registrationTracks selected custody changes; it is not a certified record
Update contextReminds the user that the result may not reflect a fresh event

A SAVE result is only a custody snapshot. A person released from custody can drop out of search results while a notification registration stays active, waiting for a later return to custody.

Register Mineral County Custody Alerts

SAVE handles custody alerts through its own registration path. Use the official SAVE registration page, not the retired VINELink workflow. Registering is separate from searching, and VINE signups did not carry over the 2025 transition.

  1. Find and verify the correct person in SAVE before attaching an alert.
  2. Open the registration or notification option and provide only the information required by the official form.
  3. Select the offered notification method and custody event. Follow the on-screen confirmation process.
  4. Keep registration details secure and update contact information when it changes.
  5. Test no system with false details, and do not submit another person’s sensitive contact data without authority.

Alerts cover release, transfer, and other custody changes. Delivery is not guaranteed. A carrier delay, an email filter, or an offline facility can slow the message. Never lean on SAVE alone for protection. In an emergency, call 911 and bring in law enforcement.

When Mineral Custody Is Offline

SAVE describes its results as periodic updates, not official records. The state gives a 24-hour offline-jail line, 866-393-5445, and accepts email at NVSave@ag.nv.gov with a three-business-day response target. That timeline covers SAVE support only, not MCSO record production.

For a fresh Mineral County arrest, call MCSO at (775) 945-2434. Ask whether the person is held, whether intake is complete, and which agency owns the report. The county posts no same-day roster. The Daily Arrest Report maps the immediate confirmation path without pretending SAVE is a live local feed.

Jurisdiction matters here. Walker River Tribal Police serves tribal Schurz and uses Lyon County Jail. An arrest inside Mineral County can land in another facility. A blank SAVE return may mean a spelling mismatch, a release, or a transfer. It could also mean protected status or data timing. It does not mean no arrest occurred.

Legacy VINELink Is Historical

The VINELink home page preserves the old interface, but it stopped being Nevada's registration endpoint after August 2025. Any instructions telling you to pick Nevada in VINELink belong to that earlier era.

The legacy VINELink surface now serves mainly as transition context for understanding what replaced it.

Historical Nevada VINELink custody interface for Mineral County

For a new Mineral County custody check or alert, go straight to SAVE. Skip the old path.

The distinction matters because missed notifications carry real stakes. Someone who registered under VINE may assume that signup still works. The state announcement told users plainly to re-register. Keep SAVE first in bookmarks, safety plans, and agency referrals.

Mineral Inmate Check Boundaries

SAVE is not the county booking record and not a universal locator. A just-booked person may not show up yet. A released person may vanish from results. It replaces neither MCSO's public-records process, a court docket, nor the Nevada Department of Corrections offender search, because each channel answers a different question.

The official Federal Bureau of Prisons locator demonstrates the separate federal search route.

That federal tool is not a Mineral County roster. It cannot substitute for a local arrest or booking inquiry.

Confirm the Mineral Arrest Record

A custody alert answers one question: is the person in custody? It skips everything else. You won't learn why someone was arrested or where the case stands. For that, ask the record's custodian for the booking or arrest record. Then check with the right court. Hawthorne Township Justice Court, Mineral County District Court, or Walker River Tribal Court can confirm case details. Jurisdiction decides which one. The Mineral County recent-arrests hub lays out those paths.

Booking
The jail intake process after arrest.
Transfer
A move from one facility or authority to another.
Release
An end or change in current confinement, not a statement about guilt.
Disposition
The court’s resolution of the filed case.

Treat SAVE as a helper, not a final answer. Date each lookup you make. Then verify anything urgent straight with the agency in charge. That approach keeps a Mineral County VINELink inmate check dependable after Nevada's system change.
