Mineral County Same-Day Arrest Gap
The Mineral County Sheriff’s Office site lists no 24-hour booking page. It posts no same-day roster, no downloadable arrest report, and no social feed for recent arrests. There is no published update cycle, cutoff time, or booking-photo policy either. That gap matters. An empty web search proves nothing. It cannot show whether anyone was arrested, released, or booked somewhere else.
The Mineral County Detention Center handles local bookings. Dispatch shares a line with the Sheriff at (775) 945-2434. The business office answers at (775) 945-1046. Call first for anything urgent. Give a full name and a rough arrest time. Then ask whether the person is in custody there and which office holds the record. Posted office hours do not guarantee walk-in access to jail records.
Check Mineral County Arrests Today
A same-day search works best as a short chain of official calls. Go to the arresting agency, not an unofficial directory. Mineral County has no incorporated cities. Hawthorne and Walker Lake fall to the County Sheriff. The Walker River Paiute Tribal Police Department covers tribal jurisdiction around Schurz. It says it books people at Lyon County Jail. A Mineral County arrest can therefore produce a booking outside the county.
- Call MCSO at (775) 945-2434. Ask whether the person is now held and whether booking has finished.
- For Schurz tribal jurisdiction, contact the Walker River Paiute Tribal Police Department at (775) 773-2544 and ask which jail received the person.
- Email publicrecords@mineralcountynv.org when a verbal status answer does not supply the needed record.
- Use the County’s public-records form for a documented request. Ask for an electronic copy if available.
- Check the proper court later for the filed case and disposition. Custody confirmation is not a court outcome.
The Mineral County recent-arrests hub explains how a booking record, custody roster, booking photo, and court file differ. That difference matters. A phone answer about today is not the whole record.
Mineral County Daily Report Fields
Mineral County offers no public 24-hour view. So treat the field list below as a request checklist rather than a promise. Each item is something to confirm with the custodian. Name your date range and ask only for what you need. Staff may withhold protected material or point you to a different agency.
| Field to ask for | What it can clarify |
|---|---|
| Full name and aliases | Whether the inquiry matches the correct person |
| Arrest and booking times | Whether the event and jail intake occurred on the same day |
| Booking or case number | The identifier needed for later follow-up |
| Arresting agency | Which authority owns the report |
| Receiving facility | Where the person was booked or transferred |
| Charges as booked | Initial charges, which may later change |
| Bond or release notation | Whether a custody change is recorded |
| Booking photograph | Whether a releasable image exists; no public photo policy was located |
Booking is the jail intake that follows an arrest. It can include an identity check, property inventory, fingerprints, an initial charge entry, and a photograph. Mineral County has published no set sequence or timing for these steps. Treat every booking field as intake data, nothing more.
Mineral County Arrest Request Route
The county’s MCSO records instructions name Rachel Robbins in Dispatch. They repeat the main phone and records email. They also set a $5 fee for requesters outside partner agencies. No separate photo fee or per-page amount is published. Confirm the charge before you pay. The stated fee does not buy a booking photo by default.
The County’s official records page shows the published fee and contact route.

A precise request gets better results. Identify the person, the approximate incident date, and the exact record type you want, whether that is a booking sheet, custody log, arrest report, release entry, or booking photograph. Those are different records. If MCSO says another agency holds the material, ask for that custodian’s contact details.
The County also offers an online request form. It collects a record description and your contact information. It promises no instant access.
The official form page shows the blank Mineral County template before any personal data is entered.

The form creates a written trail whenever a same-day call has to be followed by a formal records request.
No Mineral County Arrest App
The county lists no sheriff booking app. It lists no jail app, push-notification service, or arrest social feed. Nevada SAVE fills part of that gap as a statewide custody-status and notification service. It is not a Mineral County daily booking tool, though. A periodic status result is not a certified arrest record.
The Nevada SAVE search can help track one identified person after booking. Its data updates periodically. The service itself warns that results are not official records. Someone released from custody may not appear at all. For background on Nevada’s switch to SAVE, see the VINELink Inmate Check.
Why Mineral Arrests Can Lag
Who arrests you shapes the same-day search. Where you end up matters too. MCSO covers Hawthorne and Walker Lake. It also patrols rural roads and the rest of the county. Walker River Tribal Police books its arrests at Lyon County Jail. State highway officers and federal authorities keep their own reports. Intake can lag the roadside arrest. A transfer may follow.
- Arrest time
- When an officer takes a person into custody.
- Booking time
- When a receiving jail records intake.
- Custodian
- The agency that legally holds the requested record.
- Disposition
- The court’s resolution of the charge, not the booking charge.
Ask two questions: who made the arrest, and where the booking happened. A later transfer to state prison moves the record into the Nevada Department of Corrections system. Federal custody sits in a federal locator, not a county report.
Mineral Arrest Charges Need Review
Charges recorded at booking are only the starting point in Mineral County. Nevada courts can decline to file a charge outright. They may also amend it, dismiss it, or take a plea. Confirming the final outcome takes work. It means going to the court that handled the case. Hawthorne Township Justice Court and Mineral County District Court each play a distinct role. Some tribal matters route to Walker River Tribal Court.
Need a longer look back in Mineral County? The Weekly Arrest Log covers earlier dates and archived arrest news rather than same-day confirmation. For the agency itself, the official Sheriff page lists who to contact.

That Mineral County sheriff's page won't hand you a live arrest feed, but it does tie your inquiry to the right official source.
